Indian Premium League IPL 2023 final match is going to take place today on May 28 between Chennai Super King (CSK) and Gujarat Titans (GT) but before it starts Chennai Super League superstar player Ambati Rayudu has made a big announcement. He has already announced his retirement from IPL. If this final match is played, it will be his last match.
Rayudu has given this information by tweeting on his official Twitter account. He wrote, "Played for two great teams Mumbai and CSK. 204 matches, 14 seasons, 11 playoffs, 8 finals, 5 trophies. And hope to win the 6th match tonight."
Now Rayudu will not take a U-turn with the decision to retire
The 37-year-old Rayudu further wrote, "It's been a long journey, I've decided that tonight's final will be my last match in the IPL. I've really enjoyed playing in this special tournament. Thank you all. Now Koi U -No turn.”
Rayudu has played 203 IPL matches so far
Ambati Rayudu has participated in 203 IPL matches before today's final match. Meanwhile, Rayudu has scored 4320 runs at an average of 28.29. And in that he scored 22 fifties and 1 century. However, the IPL 2023 season has not been anything special for Rayudu, who has scored just 139 runs in 15 matches at an average of 15.44. In IPL 2023, Rayudu was used as a good player in most of the matches.
