The third major source of BCCI's revenue comes from TV advertisements. Apart from this BCCI also earns from kit sponsorship. The cost of advertising after each over is around 15 lakhs for every 10 seconds. Along with this, BCCI earns money from advertisements for everything from umpire's dress to players' clothes, helmets and other items. About 20 percent of the total revenue of the IPL is distributed among the teams.
