Babal, the Indian coach was shown a red card during the India-Kuwait football match

The final league match between India and Kuwait in the South Asian Football Federation Championship ended in a 1–1 draw. With this, both teams entered the semi-finals. Now India can face Lebanon in the semi-final to be played on 1st July. While Kuwait may have to play against Bangladesh or Maldives.

So there was a fight during this match. Indian head coach Igor Stimek was red carded for the second time in the championship. The head coach was seen arguing with the match officials, due to which he was shown a red card till the 81st minute.

This was the second time in the tournament that Indian head coach Igor Stimek received a red card. Earlier also in the first match of the tournament against Pakistan, coach Igor was sent off with a red card after taking the ball out of the hands of a Pakistani player.

In the second group match against Nepal, Team India played without a head coach. Also, the team will have to play without the head coach in the semi-finals as well. The Indian team will face Lebanon in the semi-finals.

Assistant coach Mahesh Gawli criticized the referee

Seeing this commotion, India's assistant coach scolded the match referee. Mehesh Gawli said in the press conference after the match that the refereeing was bad. One has to think about the quality of SAFE officials, otherwise the sports tournament may suffer. Our coach was not at fault. The referee could not control the match itself.
