The BCCI may announce a new chief selector soon, with the former all-rounder's name at the forefront

However, BCCI is likely to announce the name of the new chief selector soon. Ajit Agarkar's name is leading in the race for chief selector.

Former Indian all-rounder Ajit Agarkar may take over as chief selector. Ajit Agarkar's name is leading in the race for the post of Team India's chief selector. Currently Shiv Sunder Das is holding the charge of interim chief selector of BCCI but BCCI may announce a new chief selector soon. It was only a few days ago that news surfaced that Virender Sehwag had been approached for the new chief selector but the former opener categorically denied this.


Ajit Agarkar's claim is the strongest!

According to sources, former Indian all-rounder Ajit Agarkar is the strongest contender in the race for the new BCCI chief selector. He is ahead in this race. Although there is no official statement regarding this yet, Ajit Agarkar is almost certain to be the chief selector. On the other hand, if we look at the career of Ajit Agarkar, this player has represented India in 26 Test matches, 191 ODIs and 4 T20 matches. Apart from this he has played 42 matches of IPL.
