Maharashtra Premier League ie MPL T20 tournament is currently being played in Maharashtra. Qualifier 2 of the same tournament saw an incident that shocked everyone, as a third umpire had to be called for a clean bowl. The batsman played the ball and with no contact he appealed for a wide ball, but when the bells fell, everyone thought he had been bowled.

Taranjit traps Yash in the spin
Qualifier-2 match of MPL was being played between Kolhapur Tuskers and Puneri Bappa. Puneri's team was batting first. The powerplay was over and Taranjit Singh from Kolhapur came in to bowl the seventh over. Taranjit trapped Puneri batsman Yash Ksheersagar in his spin. He failed to play Taranjeet's spin and the ball went off the leg stump.
Third umpire gave out
Meanwhile the batsman kept going outside the off-stump and began to treat it as if he should have given the ball wide, as he had made no contact with the ball, while the bowler and the wicketkeeper appealed for the out. However, the umpire did not give out. The third umpire was called upon in this situation, where after watching the first replay, the third umpire gave him out.
