West Indies won the second match of the ODI series between India and West Indies by 6 wickets. With this win, West Indies have leveled the three-match series at 1-1. Batting first, India scored 181 runs in 40.5 overs losing all 10 wickets. In reply, West Indies scored 182 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 36.4 overs and won the match by 6 wickets.
Kohli and Rohit were not included in the squad
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were not included in the team in this match. Both the veteran players were rested and in their absence the Indian team could not even play the full 50 overs. Due to this reason, India had to face a crushing defeat against the West Indies team.
First win in last 10 ODIs against India
Captain Shai Hope scored 63 not out and Casey Carty scored 48 not out from West Indies. The duo put on an unbeaten 91-run partnership for the 5th wicket to give West Indies their first win in the last 10 ODIs against India.
Great start for India
After winning the toss and batting first, the Indian team got off to a great start. Athanaj who was number three also fell victim to Shardul scoring 6 runs. After this, Kuldeep dismissed Hetmyer for 9 runs and raised the hopes of the Indian fans. However, captain Shai Hope put his team on the brink of victory with a brilliant fifth-wicket partnership with Casey Carty.
