Batting first, India scored 181 runs in 40.5 overs losing all 10 wickets. In reply, West Indies scored 182 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 36.4 overs and won the match by 6 wickets.
Kohli and Rohit were not included in the squad
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were not included in the team in this match. Both the veteran players were rested and in their absence the Indian team could not even play the full 50 overs. Due to this reason, India had to face a crushing defeat against the West Indies team.

Great start for India

Athanaj who was number three also fell victim to Shardul scoring 6 runs. After this, Kuldeep dismissed Hetmyer for 9 runs and raised the hopes of the Indian fans. However, captain Shai Hope put his team on the brink of victory with a brilliant fifth-wicket partnership with Casey Carty.
