There is good news for cricket fans. Popular OTT platform Disney+Hotstar is all set to offer free streaming to mobile users to watch two important cricket tournaments like Asia Cup 2023 and ODI World Cup. There are only 9 days left for the start of the Asia Cup tournament, while the World Cup is going to start from October 5.
The match can be watched for free
Over the years OTT service providers have been coming up with many different marketing schemes to increase digital users. Many of the schemes remain very good. Interestingly, Disney+Hotstar is taking marketing to the next level by launching a campaign that emphasizes 'free streaming' on mobile. For which only Disney+Hotstar app will be required.
Subscription is required to watch the match in big screen
As per the recent announcement by Disney+Hotstar, the tournament will be streaming for free on the mobile app. You can also enjoy the match on the big screen, but for this you will need a Disney+Hotstar subscription.
Asia Cup will start from August 30
6 teams India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh will participate in the 2023 Asia Cup. In the group stage of the tournament, 6 teams will be divided into two groups of three each. Teams from a group will play each other in a single round-robin format. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Fours, where four teams will face each other in a round-robin format. The top two teams after the Super Four stage will qualify for the finals.
