The Afghanistan Cricket Board has announced its squad for the Asia Cup 2023. Afghanistan have announced a 17-member squad for the tournament. Hashmatullah Shahidi has been given the command of this team. Apart from Pakistan, Asia Cup 2023 will also be played in Sri Lanka. All the matches of the Indian team will be played in Sri Lanka. Apart from this, Sri Lanka will host the final match. Asia Cup matches will be played in Kandy, Multan, Lahore and Colombo.

The Asia Cup will start from August 30 and the final match of the tournament will be played on September 17. The Asia Cup will be played under the hybrid model. 4 matches of Asia Cup 2023 will be played in Pakistan while 9 matches will be played in Sri Lanka. The Afghanistan team will play its first match in the tournament on September 3 against Bangladesh.
