BCCI President Roger Binny and Vice President Rajeev Shukla will visit Lahore on the invitation of the Pakistan Cricket Board. Both have accepted PCB's invitation for the Asia Cup. Both the officials will be present in Pakistan during the Asia Cup matches from September 4 to 7. PCB invited all the key officials including secretary Jai Shah to visit Pakistan for the Asia Cup. Only president Binny and vice-president Rajeev Shukla are believed to have been given permission to travel to Pakistan by the BCCI.
Jai Shah will be present for the India-Pakistan match
Besides Binny and Shukla, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah will be present for the India-Pakistan match in Pallekele, Sri Lanka on September 2. After this, the trio will return to India on September 3. From here, Rajiv Shukla will go to Lahore via Wagah border along with Binny. Rajeev Shukla also went to Pakistan in 2004 with the team under the captaincy of Sourav Ganguly.
Invited to an official dinner
Both Binny and Shukla have been invited by the PCB for an official dinner organized in Lahore on September 4. It is believed that both BCCI officials will watch the Afghanistan-Sri Lanka match on September 4 and Pakistan's opening Super Four match the following day.
