"I'm still alive, fighting cancer": Zimbabwe's Heath Streak denies death report

Zimbabwe's star cricketer Heath Streak lives on. The 49-year-old cricketer has cancer due to which the news of his demise went viral on social media.

Heath Streak's Zimbabwe teammate Henry Olanga had earlier confirmed his death. After that he deleted his tweet.

Olanga wrote, "I can confirm that the rumors of Heath Streak's demise have been greatly exaggerated. I just spoke to him. The third umpire has called him back, he's a lively guy guys."

Heath's streak took a total of 216 wickets in Test cricket

Playing as an all-rounder in international cricket, Heath Streak has taken a total of 216 wickets in Test cricket. Meanwhile, he has taken 4 wickets in an innings 16 times and 5 wickets in an innings 7 times. Apart from this, Heath's streak with the ball has also been seen in ODI cricket. Heath's streak has taken 239 wickets at an average of 29.82 in the 50-over format. Meanwhile, he has taken 4 wickets in one innings and 5 wickets once in his ODI career. Captaincy record

The Zimbabwe Cricket Board appointed Heath Streak as the captain of both the Test and ODI teams in the year 2000.
