Asia Cup 2023: PCB seeks compensation from ACC, damages caused by canceled matches due to rain

After the Asia Cup 2023 schedule came out, it was decided to organize 4 matches in Pakistan and 9 matches in Sri Lanka. Out of the three matches played in Sri Lanka so far, 2 matches had to be called off due to rain, while 1 match was settled under the Duckworth-Lewis rule. According to reports now, PCB has demanded compensation from ACC for low ticket sales due to rain.

According to reports, the PCB Chairman has mailed the ACC Chairman Jay Shah seeking compensation for the losses caused by the matches held in Sri Lanka. No official statement has been given by PCB in this matter. On the other hand, the PCB has also expressed disappointment over the ACC's behavior regarding the schedule of matches in Sri Lanka.

There was talk of shifting the match in Pakistan

There was talk of shifting the matches to Hambantota due to heavy rain in Colombo. Without naming anyone, the PCB chairman asked how anyone could suddenly change the venue of matches without notifying the ACC board members. Who is responsible for this?
