Former captain of Team India and star cricketer MS Dhoni has won three ICC titles for India under his captaincy. Under Dhoni's captaincy, India has won the 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 World Cup and 2023 Champions Trophy titles. Gautam Gambhir was also part of the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 World Cup winning teams. Gautam Gambhir recently said some things about MS Dhoni, which left the fans a bit shocked. Gambhir has been a bit stingy when it comes to praising Dhoni and people are shocked to hear Dhoni's praise from his mouth. Recently, Gambhir had said that if Dhoni had continued to bat at number-3, he could have scored a lot more runs but he sacrificed his batting position and put the team's interest first. To which Sreesanth replied and said that Dhoni never sacrificed his batting position.
Sreesanth said, Gautam Bhai recently said that if Dhoni had batted at number-3, he would have scored more runs, but for Dhoni, the team's victory has always been above runs. He has always had the quality to finish the game. He has always done this for the team in tough times and he was seen doing the same in the World Cup as well.
Sreesanth further said, credit should go to Dhoni, but he never sacrificed his batting position. He worked out which players would perform well for the team at which batting order and his calculations gave him batting positions. The specialty of his captaincy was that he used to get the best performance from the player. He always thought about the team first.
