The 13th season of the World Cup is currently being played, but in the last 12 seasons, only two Indian batsmen have managed to score a century against the Australian team. Former Indian batsman Ajay Jadeja scored the first century for India against Australia in the ODI World Cup in 1999. Shikhar Dhawan did this feat after 10 years i.e. in the year 2019. In the year 2019, the World Cup was played in England and Dhawan scored a century against Australia.
Most centuries in the name of Sachin and Rohit
Sachin Tendulkar and Rohit Sharma hold the record for most hundreds scored by India in the ODI World Cup. Both the batsmen have scored 6 centuries each in the World Cup. But these two batsmen did not succeed in scoring a century against Australia. Apart from this, Indian team's session batsman Virat Kohli also failed to score a century against Australia. This will be Virat's fourth World Cup but he is yet to score a century against Australia. Now in tomorrow's match, Rohit will have a chance to break Sachin Tendulkar's record.
