Suryakumar Yadav to become fourth Indian to score 2000 runs in T20 cricket, just shy of this milestone

Today's match will be very special for Suryakumar Yadav. He can win today's match and gift the Indian team with a first series win. Apart from this he can also get a special achievement in T20Is. He can complete his 2000 runs in T20 format by scoring 60 runs in today's match.

Surya will become the fourth Indian player to do so

Suryakumar Yadav is just 60 runs away from completing his 2000 runs in T20I cricket. If he touches the mark of 2000 runs (Suryakumar Yadav To Become 4th Indian To Reach 2,000 T20I Runs) today, he will become the fourth Indian batsman to do so. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul have crossed this mark before Surya. Virat Kohli has scored the most runs in T20 cricket for India. Virat has scored 4008 runs so far. After that Rohit Sharma is second with 3853 runs and KL Rahul is third with 2265 runs.

Surya tops the ICC rankings

Suryakumar Yadav has been at the top of the ICC T20I rankings for a long time. Surya has 863 points. While on the second number is the name of Pakistani batsman Mohammad Rizwan. He has 787 points in his account. Suryakumar Yadav made his T20 International debut for India in the year 2021. He has played 55 T20Is so far. In which he has scored 1940 runs at a batting average of 46.19 and a strike rate of 173.52. He has also scored three centuries in T20I cricket. Surya has done all this in just two years.
