Mayank Agarwal Admitted To Agartala Hospital : Indian cricketer Mayank Agarwal's health suddenly deteriorated yesterday. He has been admitted to a hospital in Agartala. He was returning from Agartala after playing a Ranji Trophy match. 32-year-old Mayank is the captain of the Karnataka team. His health deteriorated after boarding the flight. He is now out of danger. Mayank mistook the water for something else to drink on the flight, after which he developed a mouth ulcer. He also complained of sore throat.

Mayank was brought here from the airport, the hospital said in a statement. He was experiencing a burning sensation in his throat and swelling of his lips. He was admitted after watching. His condition is stable. Meanwhile, West Tripura SP Kiran Kumar said, "When Mayank Agarwal boarded the flight, he saw a pout in front of him and drank it, mistaking it for water. His lips were swollen and his mouth was ulcerated. The condition is stable. His manager complained. We are registering the complaint and will look into the matter."
Mayank vomited as soon as he boarded the flight
A Tripura Cricket Association official said, “The team was in flight and Agarwal started feeling unwell. As soon as he sat in the flight, he vomited. He got off the plane when he started feeling pain. I got a call from Shahveer Tarapore from the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) and we immediately sent two of our representatives to the hospital. He is currently under doctor's observation. We have been told that the doctor is doing some tests.”
Karnataka win by 29 runs against Tripura
Mayank recently scored 51 and 17 runs in the Ranji match against Tripura at Agartala Stadium. Karnataka won by 29 runs on Monday. Karnataka is scheduled to play its next match against Railways in Surat from February 2. Mayank is likely to be rested in this match. He has been out of the Indian team for a long time. He played his last international match in March 2022.
