Tanush Kotian and Tushar Deshpande scored centuries after coming in to bat at number-10 and number-11. The two had a partnership of 232 runs for the last wicket. Meanwhile, Tushar Deshpande played an innings of 123 runs in 129 balls with the help of 10 fours and 8 sixes, while Tanush Kotian scored an unbeaten 120 runs in 129 balls with the help of 10 fours and 4 sixes. After 78 years in the history of first class cricket, batsmen number 10 and 11 scored a century.

This was the second time in the history of first-class cricket that a number-10 and a number-11 batsman scored a century. This happened earlier in the year 1946 in a match between Indians and Surrey. In the year 1946, Chandu Sarawate and Shute Banerjee created history by playing innings of 124 and 121 runs respectively.

The record for the highest partnership in Ranji is held by Ajay Sharma and Maninder Singh, who shared a record partnership of 233 runs for the 10th wicket for Delhi against Mumbai in the 1991-92 season.
