Team India will be announced on May 1 for the ICC T20 World Cup which is going to start from June 2. However, there will be a possibility of change in Team India till May 25. Team India's campaign in the T20 World Cup being played in America is scheduled to begin on June 5 with a match against Ireland. The final match of the T20 World Cup will be played on June 29.
The ICC has kept till May 1 to announce the 15-man squad against all the teams. According to the report, BCCI will announce the same Team India on May 1. As of May 1, more than half of the IPL matches will have been played and the best players to watch out for during the IPL. Not only that, ICC has also given time till May 25 to change the team. Meanwhile, a change in the team can be seen even before the IPL final. The IPL final is scheduled to be played on May 26.
Rohit Sharma will be the captain
It has already been clarified by the Board of Control for Cricket in India that the responsibility of captaincy in the T20 World Cup will remain with Rohit Sharma. Hardik Pandya will be the vice-captain of Team India in T20 World Cup. Apart from this, Virat Kohli is also considered almost certain to get a chance to play in the T20 World Cup. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj and Arshdeep Singh can be seen taking charge of the fast bowling during the T20 World Cup.
Along with Rohit Sharma, Yashaswi Jaiswal will be seen handling the responsibility of opening. Suryakumar Yadav can play at number 4. Either Sanju Samson or Jitesh Sharma will have the responsibility of wicketkeeping. Ravindra Jadeja, Akshar Patel and Ravi Bishnoi can command the spin department.
