Southampton, Dt

Zack Crowley turned the first century of his career into a double century and in a marathon innings of 5 runs, England declared the first innings at 3 for 3 in the third Test against Pakistan. Crowley combined for a record five runs for the fifth wicket with Butler (12) in a record-breaking innings. Tired of fielding for almost two days, the Pakistan team had a poor start and lost both openers by just 11 runs. Shaun Masood (3) and Abid Ali (1) were the victims of Anderson.

Earlier, Crowley (181) and Butler (2) led England's first innings by 3 wickets for 3 runs. Crowley hit 4 off 9 balls with 3 fours and 1 six. Crowley is the second highest individual scorer in the history of English cricket with the first century of his career. At the top is Tip Foster, who scored six runs against Australia in Sydney in 1908.

Butler hit 17 off 211 balls with 12 fours and two sixes. Vox scored 40 and Boss scored 4 not out. Afridi, Yasir and Alam were quick 2-2 wickets. Shafiq Crowley's prize wicket was quick and he was stumped out by Riaz.
