Former Indian cricketer Chetan Chauhan dies from corona

India's leading opening batsman and Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister Chetan Chauhan has died at the age of eight after battling the Koro epidemic. He was admitted to the hospital on July 15 with coronavirus infection and has been on life support for the last four hours.

Chetan Chauhan, who has a long career as Gavaskar's opening partner. He played 20 Tests and 4 ODIs from 19 to 191. He is one of the most famous cricketers who has not scored a single century. He was in charge of Soldier Welfare, Home Guards and Civil Security in the Uttar Pradesh government. He is survived by his wife and son Vinayak.

The Uttar Pradesh government has lost another minister due to Corona. Earlier on August 2, state technical education minister Kamala Rani Varun died at the age of eight due to corona. He was admitted to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Lucknow on July 19 after undergoing coronary heart disease. After which his health deteriorated and he was shifted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. Leaders including Vice President Vakaiya Naidu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid tributes to him.

Chetan Chauhan In 1917, he scored a century for just seven runs in the Lahore Test against Pakistan. After which He scored a century for just three runs in the Adelaide Test against Australia in 191. After this, they could never reach the score of 50. 12 half centuries are recorded in his name. BCCI president Sourav Ganguly and legendary opener Sunil Gavaskar were among those who mourned him.
