Michael Jordan's 35-year-old sneakers set a record, selling for 4.60 million

The 35-year-old shoe of famous American basketball player Michael Jordan has set a record. The sneakers, owned by NBA legend Michael Jordan, sold at auction for, 6,15,000.

Renowned auction house Christie's hosted the auction with stadium goods called 'Original Air: Michael Jordan Game Warne and Player Exclusive Sneaker Realities'.

The auction ran from July 30 to August 13. Michael Jordan's shoes sold for a record 5 560,000 in May this year, but broke the record at a recent auction.

The 35-year-old Michael Jordan's shoe may have broken all previous records, but the Oxon House did not get the price it hoped for.

Christie expected the shoes to sell for between 50 650,000 and 50 850,000. The National Basketball Association (NBA) has named Michael Jordan the greatest basketball player of all time.

Jordan retired from the game in 2003. These Jordanian sneakers were a pair of Nike Air Jordan 1 Highs. These were placed in the category of 'rare'. According to media reports, Michael Jordan used these sneakers in a performance match in Chicago in 1985.
