RCB vs SRH IPL 2020: Padikkal's half century, Bangalore beat Hyderabad by 10 runs

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) got off to a great start in the tournament by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 10 runs in the third match of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020). In the match played at the Dubai International Stadium, Virat's team lost the toss and elected to bat first and scored 163 for 5 in 20 overs with the help of half-centuries from AB de Villiers (51) and Devdutt Padikkal (56). In response, Sunrisers Hyderabad were all out for 153 in 19.4 overs. From Bangalore, Chahal bowled brilliantly, taking three wickets for 18 runs in 4 overs.

The first tweak for the Hyderabad team, which chased down the RCB's 164, came in the form of captain David Warner. He was unfortunately run out for just 6 runs. Thus the team lost the first wicket for 18 runs. Manish Pandey and Jonny Bairstow then put on an 81-run stand for the second wicket. Manish Pandey (34) was out when the team's score was 89. He hit 3 fours and 1 six in 33 balls. Johnny Bairstow continued his superb form with 61 off 43 balls. He hit 6 fours and 2 sixes during this. Young batsman Priyam Garg (12) was bowled by Shivam Dubey.

Abhishek Sharma (7) was run out. Then in the 18th over, Navdeep Saini bowled Bhuvneshwar Kumar (0) and Rashid Khan (6). From Bangalore, Chahal took three wickets for 18 runs, while Navdeep Saini and Shivam Dubey took two wickets each. And Dale Steyn had a breakthrough.
