Mumbai Indians beat Delhi Capitals by five wickets in the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 in Dubai on Tuesday to win the title for a record fifth time. Delhi Capitals set a target of 157 to win.

Which Mumbai Indians achieved with eight balls to spare. Rohit Sharma played the captain's innings for Mumbai, scoring a magnificent 68 off 51 balls with the help of 5 fours and 4 sixes.

With this, Quinton Decock contributed 20 off 12 balls, Suryakumar Yadav 19 off 20 balls and Ishant Kish 33 off 19 balls (unbeaten). In addition, Enrich Nortje from Delhi led two, while Kagiso Rabada and Marcus Stoinis led one each to the pavilion.

Rohit Sharma played a big innings in the final. He completed his half century in 36 balls. This is Rohit's third half century of the season. Rohit Sharma (68 off 51 balls with 4 sixes and 5 fours) was the victim of Enrich Nortje.

Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and elected to bat first against Mumbai Indians, losing seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs for 156 runs. From Delhi, skipper Shreyas Iyer top-scored with an unbeaten 65 off 50 balls.

Apart from that, Rushabh Pant scored 56 off 38 balls and Shikhar Dhawan 15 off 13 balls. So, from Mumbai, Trent Bolt took three wickets for 30 runs in four overs, while Nathan Coulter Nile took two wickets and Jayant Yadav took one wicket.

Trent Bolt has been the most successful bowler for Mumbai after Jaspreet Bumrah in this tournament. He also performed well in the final. Bolt took two wickets fast in the powerplay and Hetmeyer out in the death over.

He had three hits by giving up 30 runs in 4 overs. With this, Bolt has taken 25 wickets in IPL 2020. Apart from this, Coulter Nile got two wickets and Jayant Yadav got one wicket from Mumbai.

This is Mumbai's record fifth title. Mumbai had earlier become IPL champions in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020.
