Sussex captain Pujara's third century in the Royal London ODI Cup: 132 runs in 90 balls

Indian batsman Cheteshwar Pujara created a sensation by scoring his third century in the ongoing Royal London One Day Cup in England. Playing as the captain of Sussex, Pujara scored 132 runs in just 90 balls with 20 fours and two sixes. Sussex opener Tom Alsop played an innings of 189 not out with 19 fours and five sixes off 155 balls. With this, the Sussex team scored a huge score of 400 runs for four wickets in 50 overs against Middlesex.

In the ODI played at Howa, Middlesex's Stephen Eskinazi won the toss and put Sussex into bat first. Sussex lost two wickets in just 95 runs. At this stage, Cheteshwar Pujara stayed at the crease and joined Allsop, who was batting brilliantly. Both registered a marathon partnership of 240 runs in the third wicket.

Pujara completed 100 runs in 75 balls with 14 fours and two sixes. When he got out, Sussex had lost their third wicket for 335 runs. Pujara also crossed the milestone of 5000 runs in List-A matches. While in the Royal London Cup this year, he scored more than 600 runs in only 8 innings.

Alsop continued his brilliant batting and took the score to 400 runs for 4 wickets. Max Harris dismissed three batsmen including Pujara.

Pujara also scored his third century in the Royal London Cup. He had previously scored 107 runs off 79 balls with 7 fours and two sixes in the match against Warwickshire on 12 August. In the next match on 14 August, he scored 174 runs off 131 balls with 20 fours and five sixes against Surrey.
