Indian cricket team's veteran batsman Cheteshwar Pujara achieved a great achievement of playing 100th Test match as he took to the field in the second Test match against Australia. Pujara is the 13th Indian cricketer to achieve this feat. This player from Saurashtra, who is known for his calm nature, is also called the new The Wall of the Indian cricket team. Along with his father, Shahrukh Khan, known as the king of Bollywood, has also had a hand in bringing Pujara to this point. Shah Rukh Khan helped Pujara a lot during his tough times.
King Khan helped
According to Pujara's father, Pujara was in the Kolkata team in the 2009 IPL held in South Africa. Pujara fractured his hamstring during the match. When Pujara's father came to know, he wanted to call Pujara back to India for treatment, but when KKR co-owner Shahrukh Khan came to know about this, he spoke to Pujara's family and said that in South Africa rugby players get this kind of injury and those people are treated. But it happens there, so Pujara's surgery should be done in South Africa.
Shah Rukh Khan said this for Pujara
In 2009, Shah Rukh Khan said about the injured Pujara that the future of this batsman is bright and Pujara should get better medical facilities in such a situation. Shah Rukh Khan also helped a lot to bring Pujara's family to South Africa. Pujara's family did not have a passport which was arranged by Shahrukh. Pujara then made his Test debut against Australia in 2010. Pujara introduced his ability by scoring 72 runs in the second innings of his first match. Today India's veteran batsman has become a Test cricketer.
