However, former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar does not agree that players should take a break from international matches by complaining about the workload. Many times he has openly said that if you really want to manage the workload then don't play in the IPL. Relax but don't excuse yourself from national duty. In this way, Sunil Gavaskar started a discussion about resting fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah in the Ranchi Test against England by Rohit Sharma and Co. Gavaskar gave a statement about Rohit Sharma's bold decision Gavaskar also opened up about India's decision not to use Bumrah in the deciding match of the Test series against England. After the toss in IPL, the captain can decide the playing eleven

New Delhi, dated 22

A new tradition will be started from this season in the Indian Premier League. In international cricket as well as in IPL so far before the toss is thrown, the captains of both the teams hand over their playing eleven list to each other. However, this time this tradition will be broken in IPL. Now the captains of both the teams will come to throw the toss with their two different playing eleven lists and based on the result of the toss they will decide which eleven to play. Thus, in this time's IPL, the playing will be announced after the toss.

According to the media report, through the new tradition, each team will have the opportunity to choose which team to drop based on the result of the toss. Moreover, since the impact player rule is also to be implemented from this season, this new tradition will prove to be useful in that regard as well.

In such a situation, if the team wins the toss and elects to bat, they can include an additional batsman in the playing eleven and drop the bowler as an impact player in the match going forward and drop the previously included batsman.

This new tradition was started in the T20 league played in South Africa this year. In the South African T20 league, the captains of both the teams go on the field to throw the toss with the names of 13-13 players. After the toss, they exchange the playing eleven. Former South African captain and current director of the South African Board Graeme Smith said that this new tradition has been started to reduce the influence of the toss on the match.

Impact player rule will make T20 more interesting

Each team will have to name four substitutes at the time of the toss, one of whom the team can field as an impact player. The batting team can drop an impact player at the start of an innings, at the end of an over, after the fall of a wicket or when a batsman retires. The bowling team can drop an impact player in the ongoing over or when a wicket falls or a batsman retires. However, the impact player cannot bowl the remaining balls. If an IPL team includes four foreigners in the playing eleven, they cannot give a chance to a foreigner as an impact player.
