Asia Cup-2023 will be cancelled? BCCI made a big plan against the hybrid model of stubborn Pakistan

New Delhi, Dated 01-May-2023, Monday

There has been a dispute between PCB and BCCI regarding Asia Cup-2023 for a long time. A long time ago, the Indian team has made it clear that they will not go to Pakistan and play the tournament. BCCI Secretary Jai Shah had also made it clear in October last year that the Indian team will not be able to play in Pakistan due to political ties. Then PCB asked to hold Asia Cup under hybrid model. Now reports have surfaced regarding the hybrid model, BCCI has planned a new tournament due to Pakistan's insistence.

Asia Cup will be cancelled

Amid the ongoing controversy regarding the Asia Cup, a report by a Pakistani website, Cricket Pakistan, has created an uproar. A report on the website has claimed that Pakistan is adamant about playing the Asia Cup and this is why the tournament may be cancelled.

BCCI's consideration of holding a 5-nation tournament

The report claims that the Board of Control for Cricket in India is planning to hold its own tournament on the same date instead of the Asia Cup after its cancellation. The BCCI is considering holding a 5-nation tournament in the Asia Cup window, citing the hybrid model of the Asia Cup and PCB's insistence on holding the tournament in Pakistan itself.

What is hybrid plan of PCB?

PCB wants Asia Cup to be organized in Pakistan. The matches of the Indian team to be played in Pakistan will be organized outside other venues. In such a situation, all the matches against which India has to play, will be held at a neutral place instead of Pakistan.
