Relief for Prithvi Show: Mumbai Police termed the allegations leveled by Sapna Gill as baseless in the court

Mumbai Police has declared the allegations leveled by social media influencer Sapna Gill against Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw as false and baseless. The police gave their statement before a magistrate in a darkened court in Mumbai on Monday, saying that Sapna Gill's allegations of molestation against the Indian cricketer have been found to be false. Let us tell you that on February 15 this year, Sapna Gill accused Prithvi Show of exploiting her in a pub.

When the Mumbai police did not file an FIR against Prithvi Shaw following Gill's complaint, she approached the Andheri Magistrate's Court in Mumbai. Sapna's lawyer Ali Kashif Khan appealed to the Andheri court to register an FIR. The magistrate then ordered the police to submit their report on the entire matter.

The police have given their statement in the court based on the CCTV footage and said that none of the witnesses who were present at the scene of the incident saw Prithvi Shaw exploiting Sapna Gill. A CISF staff was also among the witnesses. He says that Gill was abusing the cricketer.

After the police report, Sapna Gill's lawyer insisted on showing the court the video footage which narrated the entire incident and which Sapna Gill's friend had recorded on his phone. That video also went viral. The court has now asked the police to release the video of the entire incident. With this order, he has adjourned the hearing of the matter till June 28. It means that the next hearing of this case will be on June 28.
