Yuvraj hit six sixes in this bowler's over from England, now Lesh Sanyas announced during the Ashes series

England fast bowler Stuart Broad has announced his retirement from Test cricket. He is bidding farewell to Test cricket at the age of 37. Playing in the fifth and final Test of the Ashes series, Broad said after the third day's play at The Oval that he was playing his last Test match and would retire from Test cricket with the conclusion of this match. He is the second fast bowler to take 600 wickets in Test cricket and fourth overall.

Broad's last match today or tomorrow

"Tomorrow or Monday will be my last game of cricket," Broad said after the third day's play in London. It has been an amazing journey, I am very fortunate to wear the Nottinghamshire and England batch. I love cricket as much as I used to. This is such an amazing series that I wanted to be a part of and always wanted to be on top and this series makes me feel like that. It has been one of the most enjoyable and entertaining series I have been a part of."

I am satisfied with whatever I have achieved-Broad

He further added, "I've been thinking about this for some time, a few weeks. England vs Australia has always been top of mind for me. I love the battles with Australia that have come my way and the team, I have an emotional attachment to the Ashes and I think I wanted my last batting and bowling to be in the Ashes. I told Stokes last night and told the changing room this morning and to be honest, it felt like the right time and I didn't want friends or Nottinghamshire teammates to see things. Which might come to light. I've thought about it a lot, and by 8 o'clock last night, I was 50/50. But when I went into Stocksy's room and told him, I was really happy, because of everything I'd achieved. I am satisfied."

845 wickets in Stuart Broad's name

Broad has played 167 Tests, 121 ODIs and 56 T20 Internationals, taking 845* wickets. Broad made his debut for England at the age of 20 in a T20 match against Pakistan in August 2006. In the year 2007, he played his first Test match against Sri Lanka. Yuvraj Singh hit 6 sixes in Broad's over in the T20 World Cup in 2007 and Broad came into the limelight for all the wrong reasons. However, after this he made many records in his name. He is regarded as one of cricket's greatest ever fast bowlers, fifth in the all-time list of Test wicket-takers. The Nottinghamshire bowler has made a name for himself in international cricket with wins in the 2010 T20 World Cup and four Ashes series.

Second player to take 600 wickets

Along with teammate James Anderson, Broad is one of only two fast bowlers to take 600 Test wickets for his country and took his 150th Ashes wicket in the final at The Oval this week.
