BCCI Offered Rahul Dravid Extension To Continue As Head Coach : Rahul Dravid was the head coach of the Indian team for the last two years but his tenure also ended with the conclusion of the ODI World Cup 2023. However, the BCCI has now decided to give him an extension and has made up his mind to give him and his coaching staff another stint.

BCCI prepared visas for Dravid and Laxman

BCCI has decided to retain Rahul Dravid & Co. But Dravid has not yet accepted this offer. Meanwhile, according to media reports, BCCI has prepared visas for not only Rahul Dravid but also VVS Laxman for South Africa tour. This clearly indicates that VVS Laxman will be the next head coach of the Indian team if Dravid does not accept the offer. VVS Laxman is currently attached to the Indian team for the T20 series against Australia with the support staff of NCA.

BCCI needs more time to take a final decision on Dravid

BCCI has not given any indication whether Rahul Dravid or VVS Laxman's coaching staff will go to South Africa. However, there are suggestions that more time is needed to maintain continuity and for the BCCI to take a final decision on Dravid. The current coaching staff who are coaching the T20 series against Australia will take charge of the T20 series in South Africa.
