Maxwell created history by playing an unbeaten innings of 201 runs
The ODI World Cup 2023 hosted by India was a great one for the Australian team as well as for Glenn Maxwell. Maxwell played a memorable innings during the group stage match of the tournament against Afghanistan. Mohammad Shami was the highest wicket taker in the tournament with 24 wickets in just 7 matches. Meanwhile, Shami also became the fastest bowler to take 50 wickets in the ODI World Cup. Shami achieved this feat by surpassing Mitchell Starc in just 17 innings. Starc took 50 wickets in 19 innings.
