Shakib Al Hasan was struggling with eye problems
Bangladeshi cricket team captain Shakib Al Hasan was battling eye problems throughout the ODI World Cup 2023. Shakib said during an interview, 'I had eye problems throughout the World Cup, not in one or two matches. I had to face a lot of trouble while batting.'
'Doctor advised me to reduce stress'
Shakib further said, 'When I went to the doctor, he told me that my cornea or retina is flooded. He gave me eye drops and told me to reduce the tension. I did not believe that this was the reason. But after ODI World Cup 2023, when I got it checked again in America, no such problem came up.'
Shakib performed brilliantly in the 2019 World Cup
Shakib Al Hasan took 11 wickets in ODI World Cup 2019 and also scored 606 runs. While he was out in 2 matches due to injury in ODI World Cup 2023. Shakib scored 186 runs at an average of 26.57 in 7 World Cup matches.
