Yuvraj Singh On Ravichandran Ashwin : Star player Yuvraj Singh, who played an important role in India winning the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup, has made a big statement about the ODI and T20 career of Indian team veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. "R Ashwin does not deserve a place in Team India's ODI and T20 squads," he said. However, Yuv has different thoughts about Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Asked about the place of both the players in T20 cricket, he said there is no substitute for experience.
“Ashwin does not deserve a place in the ODI and T20 squad” - Yuv
Yuvraj Singh during an interview said about Ashwin, “Ashwin is a great bowler. But I don't think he deserves a place in the ODI and T20 squad. He bowls well, but what does he do in batting? Or what he does as a fielder? He should be in the Test team but I don't think he deserves a place in white ball cricket."
What did UV say about Kohli and Rohit?
Talking about the future of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in T20, Yuvraj Singh said, “A lot of young players are doing very well in T20. It should also be kept in mind that there is no substitute for experience.” Yuvraj Singh when asked that you used to score quick runs in the middle overs. Currently Rinku Singh has taken this responsibility. What is your opinion about this young batsman? Are you seeing Rinku as your right answer?
“If anyone can take my place it will be Rinku Singh”
Yuvraj responded to this question by saying, “If anyone can take my place it will be Rinku Singh only, he needs no improvement. Whatever is required in limited overs cricket, Rinku does it all. He makes quick runs in the middle overs and can extend the innings if needed. According to me he should play in all three formats. It should not be restricted to T20 cricket only.”
Rinku Singh reminds Yuvraj of himself
Yuvraj further said, “He is probably the best left-handed player in the Indian team right now. He reminds me of me, he knows when to attack, when to rotate strikes and is incredibly clever under pressure. He can win us the match. I don't want to put pressure on him, but I really believe he has the skills to do what I used to do."
