IND vs ENG 4th Test : The fourth match of the 5-match Test series between India and England will be played in Ranchi. The two teams will clash at the JSCA International Stadium Complex from February 23. England started the series with a bang by winning the first Test in Hyderabad. After which the Indian team made a great comeback by winning the Test matches played in Visakhapatnam and Rajkot and took a 2-1 lead in the series.
India will be eyeing an unassailable lead
In Ranchi, the Indian team will be eyeing to win the fourth match and take an unassailable lead in the series. Along with this, the England team will be hoping for a win or a draw to survive the series. Ranchi is the home of former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The Indian team has not lost a single test match here. Along with this, England will play a Test match in Dhoni's city for the first time.
India will come to Ranchi looking to maintain their unbeaten record
Two Test matches have been played in Ranchi so far. The first Test match was played in the year 2017 between India and Australia. That match was a draw. While the second test match was held in the year 2019. Indian team defeated South Africa in this match. India will be looking to maintain their unbeaten record on this ground.
Jadeja took a total of 9 wickets against Australia in Ranchi
When India and Australia clashed in Ranchi in 2017, the magic of Ravindra Jadeja was seen. He took 5 wickets in the first innings against Australia. After which he also scored an unbeaten 54 in the first innings for India. Jadeja also bowled brilliantly in the second innings and took 4 wickets. Along with this, Ravichandran Ashwin took one wicket each in both the innings.
Rohit scored a double century in Ranchi
Rohit Sharma scored a double century in the Test match played against South Africa in the year 2019. He scored 212 runs in the first innings. Jadeja scored 51 and Ashwin scored 14 runs. In bowling, Jadeja took two wickets in the first innings. He got one wicket in the second innings. Ashwin did not have success in the first innings. But he took one wicket in the second innings. India won this match by an innings and 202 runs.

Rohit Sharma is the highest run scorer in Ranchi. Rohit has 212 runs in his name. Cheteshwar Pujara is second after him. He has scored 202 runs in two matches. Jadeja has scored 105 runs in two matches. Jadeja is seventh in terms of scoring most runs on this ground. Jadeja is number-1 in bowling. He has taken 12 wickets in two matches. Ashwin has taken 3 wickets in 2 matches.
