Rohit Sharma will captain the Indian team in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Recently the Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Jai Shah stamped the name of Rohit Sharma. Shah said that Rohit will be the captain of the Indian team in this ICC mega event to be held in USA and West Indies in June-July. Former captain Saurabh Ganguly has also considered this decision of Shah as correct.
Saurabh Ganguly said, Rohit Sharma is the right choice as India's captain for the T20 World Cup. The way he led the Indian team and won 10 matches in the 50 over World Cup. It is actually not easy. It is still fresh in our memories. So Rohit Sharma is the best option for T20 World Cup 2024.
Jai Shah said on Wednesday, February 14 that we may have lost the 2023 World Cup final but we won hearts by winning 10 consecutive matches. I am very confident that we will shine India's name in Barbados under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma in the 2024 T20 World Cup. Under Rohit's captaincy, the Indian team has not won a single ICC trophy till date.
