India will have a chance to win medals in athletics and para-athletics at the Commonwealth Games today, Thursday, August 4. Apart from this, Indian boxers will enter the field to win medals in boxing as well. In hockey, the men's team will play Wales in Pool-B. Till Wednesday, India has 18 medals, including 5 gold. India has won a total of 10 medals in weightlifting.

Star boxer Amit Panghal will enter the men's 48 kg quarter-finals on Day 7 of the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. He will face Scotland's Lennon Mulligan. Sakina Khatoon, Manpreet Kaur and Paramjit Singh will challenge for a medal in the Para Powerlifting final. Para-powerlifter Sudheer will also be eyeing a medal in men's heavyweight. Hima Das will also be seen running in the women's 200m heats.
