The Indian cricket team is currently on a tour of the West Indies. Where today the first match of the series of five T20 matches will be played against West Indies. Meanwhile, Indian team batsman Manoj Tiwari has announced his retirement from all formats of international cricket today. Manoj Tiwary has played 15 international matches for India. He also posted a picture of himself in the Team India jersey on his official Twitter handle, in which he is seen kissing the helmet. He has written 'Thank you' in the caption of this photo. Apart from this, he has announced his retirement by issuing his farewell message on Instagram.
He is also a minister in the Government of Bengal
State Sports Minister Manoj Tiwari, who started his political innings through the assembly elections this year, is named in the Bengal Cricket Association's list of 39 potential players. The former Bengal captain played his last Ranji Trophy match against Saurashtra in March 2020. Mamata Banerjee has entrusted a big responsibility to Manoj Tiwari. Tiwari, a first-time MLA, was sworn in as a minister on May 10 along with 43 other leaders. The cricketer, who was given the charge of Minister of State for Sports and Youth, joined the TMC along with his wife before the elections. He won a grand victory from the Shibpur assembly seat in Howrah.

International career of Manoj Tiwari
Manoj Tiwary made his international debut in 2008, but till 2015 he could only play 12 ODIs. In the year 2011 he got a chance to debut in T20 International and he could play only 3 matches till the year 2012. Manoj has scored 287 runs in ODI cricket and only 15 runs in T20. He has also scored a century and a fifty in ODI cricket. He has played domestic cricket till last year.
