Faiz said, “I will play the last match of my career in Nagpur. Tomorrow will mark the end of an era when I set foot for the last time on the ground in Nagpur, where my journey in first-class cricket began 21 years ago. It has been an unforgettable trip, full of memories. Which I will always remember." Fazal further wrote, "Representing both the Indian cricket team and Vidarbha has been the greatest honor of my life and wearing that cricket jersey always fills me with immense pride. Farewell to my beloved number 24 jersey, yours truly. Will remember."

Faiz Fazal made his debut in international cricket in the year 2016. He scored 9183 runs in 137 first class matches. Apart from this he scored 3641 runs in 113 List-A matches.
